The Global Advertising Awards

The basic structure of judging of the 2011 Global Best Digital Awards is set up in two stages.

• Judging begins immediately following the deadline, August 31st, 2011. The first round is an elimination judged by an international panel of judges comprised of influential creative and production experts. Five finalists from each category will progress to compete in the final round of judging of the Global Best Digital Advertising Awards. The first round takes place immediately following the deadline and will be completed by September 21st. At that time all finalists will be notified by email and posting on the website. Finalists will receive information on attending the Festival at that time and will be required to RSVP by a specific date.
  

• The final round will take place in Bangkok with an international VIP panel of judges comprised of influential client, creative and production professionals.The finalists' entries will be loaded onto a hard drive and hand carried to the Festival where it will be loaded into a local server to be accessed by the judges. Judges will be sequestered (in comfort) together in a meeting room where they will have opportunity to discuss entries, share insights and complete the judging of the winners.
  

Judges will award a bronze, silver and gold in each category. There will also be a Best of Show selected and other special honors for various achievments or recognition.

Student entries will be judged with the same process, and elimination and the five finalists in each category going on to Bangkok for the final judging.

Trophies will be awarded for the top three places in each category and certificates of merit will be awarded to all finalists. Student scholarships and internships are being established as a part of GBA's commitment to educational initiatives and motivational opportunities. Scholarship and internship winners will be announced at the November Awards Festival in Bangkok.

All judging will be done through a special, secure online process to ensure fair judging of all entries. The first stage jury will vote completely online. The final phase will comfortably sequester the VIP Panel in Thailand for roundtable discussion and digital scoring of the finalist entries.

Winners will be announced at the Gala Event to take place in November, 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.
